Terms of Service
Last updated: July 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Star Chart Kids (“Star Chart”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
This is a general template and has not been reviewed by legal counsel. Have it reviewed before publishing, and fill in any placeholders (such as governing law) for your business.
1. Who can use Star Chart
Star Chart is designed for use by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Accounts must be created and managed by a parent or guardian who is at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction). By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are responsible for your child's use of the app.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your username and passcode confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could harm minors.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, our systems, or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's operation (e.g. reverse engineering, scraping, or introducing malicious code).
- Upload content that is abusive, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate for a children's app.
4. Content you create
You retain ownership of routines, tasks, avatar choices, and other content you or your child create in the app (“User Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display User Content solely to operate the app for you.
5. Our content
The Star Chart app, including its design, characters, artwork, and code, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our branding or content beyond what's needed to use the app as intended.
6. Rewards & in-app features
Rewards, stars, and similar features are for entertainment and motivational purposes within the app. Any “real-life” rewards a parent chooses to grant a child are entirely between the parent and child — Star Chart does not fulfill, ship, or guarantee any real-world rewards.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep Star Chart available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time, with notice where reasonably practicable.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Star Chart is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Star Chart and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
10. Termination
You may stop using Star Chart and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the safety of other users, particularly children.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.
